Winnipeg Eliminated from Playoff Contention Friday, September 8th , 2017 The Winnipeg Buffaloes were stuck in the middle this season -- not competitive enough in the playoff chase to be considered relevant, but not far enough behind to be completely written off. Until now, that is -- today, the Buffaloes were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Winnipeg last appeared in the postseason in 2010. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Buffaloes have made the playoffs 2 times. Winnipeg has won the SPBC Classic Series 2 times in their history. |
