Gonzalez Goes 5-for-8 Saturday, July 1st , 2017 The Southern California Empires couldn't stop Edgar Gonzalez, but they stopped the Calgary Caracals, 13-11. Gonzalez went 5-for-8 in the game at Empires Stadium, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score. "I feel bad for Edgar -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Calgary manager Dorian Harmon. "The Empires were on their game today." Edgar Gonzalez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, hit an RBI single in the 10th, struck out in the 12th and grounded out in the 15th.
