Sherbrooke-Edmonton Deal: Akbar for Gomez Monday, November 27th , 2017 There were plenty of hugs and handshakes all around as 24-year old RHP Abdel-Alim Akbar left the Sherbrooke Canadians today en route to joining the Edmonton Drillers organization. 27-year old RHP Mario Gomez will be traveling to Sherbrooke Canadians to complete the swap. In his career, Gomez has racked up 92 innings in 67 games and earned 11 saves. He has 122 strikeouts in 92 innings along with a 4.40 ERA and a 11-8 won-lost mark. |
