ESPC's Top Hitter Named Sunday, October 1st , 2017 To survive in the bigs, you've got to be a scrapper like Joe Higgins. It never pays to take a day off from the batting cages or to shrug off the advice of the hitting coach. It all paid off today as New York's first baseman pinned down the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit Batter of the Month trophy today. He hit .299 in September collecting 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and 19 runs scored. For the year, Higgins has hit .264 with 24 home runs, 60 RBIs and scored 84 runs. |
