PBC Presents Rookie of the Year Award Tuesday, November 7th , 2017 El Paso's Kyle Haley took the hill for 22 starts this year, came away with 20 victories and copped the 2017 Professional Baseball Circuit Rookie of the Year Award as well. The 26-year-old newcomer tossed 155.1 innings and dealt out 118 strikeouts, while holding opposing batters to a .227 average. Haley fashioned a 20-1 won-lost mark with a 2.14 ERA. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 18. Danny Santa Cruz of the Boston Shamrocks finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Julio Fernandez Jr. of the Washington Warriors finished third with 1 first place vote.
