PBC Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award Sunday, November 5th , 2017 2017 was a year to remember for Junro Yano. The Atlanta Pilots reliever was the owner of a 1.37 ERA this season over 79 innings of work. He made 46 relief appearances and had 25 saves, 90 strikeouts, 19 walks and a record of 9 wins and 3 losses. He's also now got some hardware, as the 24-year-old has been named the Professional Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award winner. "It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said. He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 18. Chris McCarty of the San Francisco Peanuts finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Won-keun Baek of the El Paso Diablos finished third with 3 first place votes.
