5-for-6 Game for Pfeiffer Thursday, September 28th , 2017 Even as a kid, Bob Pfeiffer said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Trident Field, Pfeiffer showed how well he learned that lesson. The 27-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the El Paso Diablos, helping his team knock off the Chicago Union by a score of 17-7. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Bob Pfeiffer struck out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Fidel Santiago in the 9th.
