New York City Starting Pitcher Hurt
Saturday, September 23rd , 2017
The season is apparently over for Chris Rice. The New York City Blues medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 11 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Rice was hurt in the game against Toronto while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
Checking out his stats for the season, Rice has registered 7 wins and 10 losses in 21 starts, posted a 4.79 ERA, and struck out 125 batters in 135.1 innings.
