Denver Won't Make Playoffs Saturday, September 23rd , 2017 It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the Denver Cutthroats. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign. "You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Cutthroats reliever Luis Lopez. This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2010. In total, the Cutthroats have missed the playoffs 12 times in their 18-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Cutthroats have missed the playoffs 6 times. Denver last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2008. |
