Tampa Bay Out of Playoff Race Monday, September 18th , 2017 Not even a torrid finish to the season can land the Tampa Bay Thunder in the playoffs now -- the Thunder were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Tampa Bay last appeared in the postseason in 2012. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 10 times in their 18-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Thunder have missed the playoffs 4 times. Tampa Bay last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2009. |
