Pro Circuit Cup Game 1 Goes to Atlanta, Thanks to James
The Atlanta Pilots powered past the visiting El Paso Diablos, 4-3, in the opener of the Pro Circuit Cup at The Hangar. Atlanta starting pitcher Bob James threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs, to lead the charge. The Pilots now lead the series 1-0.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Dashawn MacDonald came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing El Paso pitcher Won-keun Baek, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Atlanta on top, 4-3.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Atlanta manager Erik Swartzwelder.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Hangar in Atlanta.
