The El Paso Diablos got an exceptional performance from starter Jesse Steele, who silenced the Las Vegas offense en route to a 4-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Cup Qualifier. The Aces could never get a bead on the left-handed Steele, who threw 8.2 innings of shutout ball. The Diablos now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Steele, who was born in Lancaster, New York, threw 115 pitches over 8.2 innings, while allowing no runs.

Steele said his team "played with focus."

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Caesers Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas.
