Tampa Bay Sent Home with 6-3 Loss

Detroit and Tampa Bay duked it out and the Motors came out victorious.
Getting offensive support from Joe Cote, the Detroit Motors topped the Tampa Bay Thunder, 6-3. Cote was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Motors. With the win over Tampa Bay, the Motors improved to 27-26.
The Motors got a big at-bat from center fielder Huibert Zwiers. For the game, Zwiers went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Detroit a 4-2 lead.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Cote told the Detroit Daily News.
