Warriors Resilient in 2-1 Win Over Chicago
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Washington Warriors and Chicago Union.

Washington turned a good effort from starter Sipi Remes into a win over the Chicago Union at Warriors Park. The final score was 2-1. Bob Vroom notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-3.

Nolan Wheeler was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Warriors left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I believe in our guys," said Washington skipper Angel Sanchez. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The 8th-place Union have dropped 4 straight games.
