The rain did not keep San Francisco and Boston from finishing their game.

San Francisco starter Kevin Keeth pitched effectively against the Boston Shamrocks at Shamrock Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The win was credited to Chris McCarty in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Ryan Carden took the loss.

San Francisco needed the clutch hitting of John Braeutigam to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Peanuts on top, 4-3. For the game, Braeutigam had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Keeth told the San Francisco Herald. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."

With the victory, the Peanuts upped their record to 32-18.
