San Francisco turned a good effort from starter Kevin Keeth into a win over the Dallas Texans at Garibaldi's Grounds. The final score was 9-2. Scott Simpson, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 47-27.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the second. That's when Peanuts first baseman Pat Hitchcock hit a splitter from Gart Jansen for a 2-run single. Just like that, San Francisco was up, 2-1.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Jesus Sanchez. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
