Knights Stumble Again, Lose, 8-1
|
The 4-RBI night of shortstop Matt Weber, who is tied for 7th in the PBC in runs scored with 52, helped the St. Louis Lions triumph, 8-1, over the Los Angeles Knights. St. Louis starter Drew Conroy was credited with the win after throwing 83 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 5-6. St. Louis has run its win streak to 4 straight.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Andy Hernandez? The St. Louis right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lions on top, 2-1. For the game, Hernandez had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Weber.
