LaRocco goes 4-for-5 to Light Union Fuse
The Chicago Union powered past the Detroit Motors, 13-7, at The Motor Yard. Matt LaRocco provided some of the pop. He was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs. Chicago reliever Jose Alvarez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Iulio Faletau took the loss. Chicago is now 26-45, Detroit 41-30.

Jonathan Thornton had a big 2-run double for the Union in the top of the fifth inning. With Chicago leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Iulio Faletau and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Union ahead, 5-2.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Thornton.
