Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Blues Field.

Benefiting from Brian Garrette's productive game, the New York City Blues downed the Detroit Motors, 7-5. Garrette went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Blues. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Parrish. He tossed 97 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits.

Justice Green had a big 3-run home run for the Blues in the bottom of the third inning. With New York City leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Iulio Faletau and swatted a home run to right. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blues ahead, 6-1.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Garrette told the New York City Times.

New York City is now 31-36, Detroit 38-29.
