Alexander Batters Sherbrooke for 5 Hits
|
It was a good day for the Fleetwings at Fleetwings Ballpark as they clipped the Sherbrooke Canadians, 8-6. It was tremendous day for Marc Alexander, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5.
"I don't know what to call that," the Allentown right fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well."
Marc Alexander hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 10th.
Thus far this year, Alexander is hitting .295 with 15 home runs, 58 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
