The Denver Cutthroats beat the Los Angeles Knights, 6-1, at Camelot. Felipe Rodriguez, in particular, was impressive. He was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Scott Simpson was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Josh Bruntlett. Jonathan Benders notched his 3rd save of the season.
Denver used the hitting of Tom Abraham to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cutthroats on top, 3-1. For the game, Abraham had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"The guys seem happy with the win. That's good, I guess," said Abraham.
Denver is now 19-14, Los Angeles 13-20.
