|
The Denver Cutthroats and Miami Sun Sox obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
Travis McCombs powered the Denver Cutthroats to a win over the Miami Sun Sox. The final score was 5-4. The Denver right fielder, who finished 5th in the PBC in extra base hits with 45 last year, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Jonathan Benders was credited with the save for Denver, his 2nd of the season.
McCombs had a timely hit for Denver in the bottom of the sixth. With Denver trailing 4-2, he turned a 1-1 sinker into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Denver.
