Lions Topple Texans with Late Rally
The Dallas Texans opened their 2017 season with a disappointing 6-3 loss to the St. Louis Lions at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark. Right Fielder Will Bruhn was a big part of the win for St. Louis. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Ryan Williams, the 16th overall pick in the 2009 draft, was the winning pitcher. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 10 strikeouts.

Bruhn had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-1 cutter from Tyler Anson, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Lions a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Bruhn.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Dallas skipper Jesus Sanchez.
