Laurent Top Choice, Wins Pitcher of the Year Award Monday, October 31st , 2016 The PBC Rookie Complex League Pitcher of the Year Award winner has been chosen and the trophy goes to Detroit (R) hurler Luke Laurent for his outstanding season in 2016. Laurent was quite impressive with a 14-6 record and a 2.21 ERA. In 27 starts and 175 innings, he struck out 230 and gave up 160 hits and 39 walks. Teams hit .242 against him. He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 18.
