Goddard Goes on Rampage Against Grizzlies Sunday, September 11th , 2016 It was a good day for the Caracals at Caracals Stadium as they clipped the Vancouver Grizzlies, 16-5. It was tremendous day for Josh Goddard, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Calgary catcher told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Josh Goddard hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Nathan Billingsley in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season, Goddard has banged out 125 hits in 466 at-bats for a .268 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .346 pace and his totals also include 70 RBIs and 63 runs scored.
