Admirals Swap Smith to Moose for Barker Sunday, November 27th , 2016 BNN has learned the Quebec City Admirals have reportedly worked out a deal with the Saskatoon Moose. Sources close to the Admirals indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 30-year old RHP Ryan Barker will be swapped to Quebec City with 35-year old 1B Branden Smith and $770 in cash heading to Saskatoon. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. Quebec City will retain a portion of Smith's remaining contract. Smith has compiled a career batting average of .258 with 210 hits, 22 homers and 123 RBIs. Since he joined the league, Barker has collected 3 victories and 4 defeats with a 4.08 ERA. |
