Drillers Swap Ramirez to Canadians for Dougherty Friday, November 11th , 2016 The Edmonton Drillers have finalized a deal that will send 23-year old minor league 2B Jose Ramirez and 19-year old minor league C Rostislav Studeny to Sherbrooke for 30-year old RHP Tim Dougherty and $3,000 in cash. Minor details still need to be worked out before the trade becomes official, but the players involved are expected to be with their new clubs soon. Sherbrooke will retain a portion of Dougherty's remaining contract. Dougherty has registered 34 saves in his career and held opposing hitters to a .222 batting average with 231 strikeouts in 205.2 innings. In 123 games he has a 26-23 record and a 3.46 ERA. |
