Newark Ace Cops ESPC Pitcher of the Year Award Monday, October 31st , 2016 With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Eagles ace Zach Hoelzer had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award today. The veteran Newark hurler posted a record of 17 wins and 6 losses this year with a 2.47 ERA. In 32 starts he struck out 200 and walked 39 in 222.1 innings. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Eric Parchman of the Ottawa Capitals finished second in voting, while Bill Wright of the Newark Eagles finished third.
