Winnipeg's McPeak to Retire Friday, October 14th , 2016 Oliver McPeak is stepping away from the game of baseball at the end of the season. The Winnipeg Buffaloes player gave a brief explanation to reporters this afternoon. "It's time to step away from the game and work on phase two of my life - world domination," the 41-year-old joked. McPeak wisecracked for several minutes while reminiscing about high and low points of his career. At the end of the session, McPeak sent a personal message. "I truly thank all you fans." McPeak has pitched in 205 games over his career, posting 8 saves and a 31-15 won-lost mark. He has registered an ERA of 3.49, logged 430.1 innings and recorded 407 strikeouts. |
