Aztecas Dominate, Sweep Play-in Series Wednesday, September 28th , 2016 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Western Semi-Pro Circuit Play-in Series. It turned out quite a bit different. The Mexico City Aztecas swept aside the Las Vegas Rollers to advance to the Circuit Championship Series, winning the final game by a 5-4 score at Estadio Azteca. The series MVP was third baseman Zack Cotham, who hit .444 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
