Mexico City Shuts Out Saskatoon Behind Vadi, 3-0
The Saskatoon Moose manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Mexico City Aztecas. The Moose were overpowered by Mexico City starter Tony Vadi, who hurled his club to victory, 3-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Bill Levine said.

Over 9 innings, Vadi blanked Saskatoon on 6 hits with no walks and 8 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Vadi said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

His record for the year is 10-13 in 27 starts and Vadi has a 4.24 ERA.
