Mancilla Mows Down Las Vegas in No-Hitter
In a dominant outing, Cesar Mancilla of the Vacaville Steelheads totally silenced the bats of the Las Vegas Rollers, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the 2-0 victory, Mancilla faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 11 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Vacaville manager Mark Mastronardi said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Nick Crihfield had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.

"The Steelheads had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Mancilla pitched a heck of a ballgame."

To date this season, Mancilla sports a 15-8 mark with a 3.07 ERA in 24 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .230 batting average and has 138 strikeouts in 161 innings.
