Wells Smacks 5 Hits for Empires
All game long, Southern California's Chase Wells was rattling the walls at Goldeyes Park and banging out base hits against the Winnipeg Buffaloes. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Empires had a win, 18-5.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 30-year-old third baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

Chase Wells singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
