Vacaville Draws Blanks Against Vadi
In a remarkable performance, Mexico City Aztecas starter Tony Vadi beat the Vacaville Steelheads, 7-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Aztecas hurler finished with 8 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Vacaville manager Mark Mastronardi said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

Thus far this season, Vadi has posted a 4-2 record, started 7 games, struck out 39 batters in 51.1 innings and compiled a 2.10 ERA.
