Newark Befuddled by Orellana in 1-0 Loss Friday, October 2nd , 2015 Manny Orellana kept the Newark Eagles hitters from doing much damage at Ballpark of Vacaville. Newark could only muster 5 hits and draw 1 walk against the left-handed Orellana, who controlled them throughout the game. Vacaville won the contest, 1-0. Orellana added 7 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Orellana told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." This year, Orellana has posted a 11-3 mark in 20 starts and has a 2.51 ERA. View Boxscore |
