Buffaloes Chill Brewer Hot Streak Thursday, September 10th , 2015 The Winnipeg Buffaloes pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Joseph Brewer hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 6-4 victory over the Mexico City Aztecas at Estadio Azteca. The disappointing performance ended a 23-game hitting streak for the right fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Brewer said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the season, Brewer is currently batting .341 with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs. In 65 games he has reached base at a .411 rate and scored 36 runs to date. |
