Johnson, Fleetwings Shut Out Chargers, 1-0 Friday, August 28th , 2015 Jim Johnson hurled a fine game for the Allentown Fleetwings at Fleetwings Ballpark, holding the Detroit Chargers to 4 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Allentown manager Josh Hensley said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 8 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 1-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Detroit manager Kirila Lemana said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." To date this year, in 16 starts, Johnson has crafted a 4-5 mark with a 3.10 ERA. View Boxscore |
