Grizzlies-Fleetwings Swap: Gradillas for Lurte Wednesday, November 4th , 2015 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Vancouver Grizzlies and Allentown Fleetwings finalized a trade today. Vancouver will send 24-year old minor league RHP Mattia Gradillas to the Fleetwings, while the Grizzlies will receive 29-year old LHP Josh Lurte. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Grizzlies general manager Ben Ledlow said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. Lurte has allowed opponents a batting average of .237 throughout his career and he has rung up 154 strikeouts in 151.1 innings, while registering 30 saves in 92 games. His record is 10 wins-19 losses with a 3.81 ERA. |
