Houston Takes Play-in Series Wednesday, October 7th , 2015 The championship aspirations of the Houston Mavericks are still alive and well, while the Washington Warriors are left to wait until next year. Houston won the clinching game of the Play-in Series 5-1 over Washington at Warriors Park, to win the series 3-1. "You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said first baseman Jorge Nunez, who paced the Houston offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit." Nunez claimed the MVP by racking up 6 hits for a .400 average, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.
