PBC Picks Rookie of the Month Thursday, October 1st , 2015 From Podunk to Paradise sounds like the story of Dave Hodges of the Atlanta Pilots. It has been a sudden rise to fame for this first-year hurler. As of today, he is the Professional Baseball Circuit Rookie of the Month. Hodges was certainly on top of his game in September. He started 6 games and threw 43 innings, striking out 31 and walking 14. In all, he compiled a 5-0 record with a sparkling 3.77 ERA, holding the opposition to a .239 batting average. So far this year, Hodges has made 10 starts, tossed 72 innings, struck out 55 batters and walked 21. His record is 7-2 with a 3.50 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .235 batting average. |
