Denver-Miami Fight Results in Suspensions Friday, September 4th , 2015 Yesterday at Sun Sox Stadium Bryan Norlander and Jason Lightcap got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Denver Cutthroats and Miami Sun Sox. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Norlander will have to sit out 6 while Lightcap would be given a 12-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season, Norlander has hit at a .237 clip and produced 22 RBI, 5 home runs and 32 runs. In 17 starts this season, Lightcap has picked up 4 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 101 innings, allowed 116 hits, struck out 96 and posted a 5.17 ERA. |
