Detroit, Denver Swap Players Wednesday, August 26th , 2015 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Detroit. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Detroit Motors general manager shook things up by acquiring 39-year old RHP Nate Kelley, 24-year old SS Sandy Rivas, 19-year old minor league RHP Nick Wharton, 21-year old minor league CF Anthony Lamens, and 19-year old minor league RHP Ed Houle from the Denver Cutthroats for 27-year old LF Joaquin Alvarez. "We're a better team now," Motors general manager Sean Morgan said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." This season in 60 games, Alvarez has hit at a .296 clip with 64 hits, 7 home runs, 30 RBIs and 37 runs scored. Rivas on the season is hitting .244 with 5 home runs. His stats include 28 RBIs and 24 runs scored. |
