Eisley, Knights Put Hurt on Peanuts, 12-1
|
The Los Angeles Knights thumped the San Francisco Peanuts, 12-1, at Garibaldi's Grounds. Aaron Eisley was a big reason his team got the win. Eisley went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Albert Ravanelli, the winner, goes to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Andrew Schumacher earned the save for Los Angeles.
Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Eric Lamb to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said San Francisco manager Chris Graham. "They pounded us."
San Francisco, with the loss, is still a stout 8-3.
