6-2 Loss to Blues Extends Detroit Losing Streak
Josh Leavens was a major factor in the 6-2 New York City win over Detroit. The Blues catcher was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. John McClinton earned the save for New York City, his 4th of the year. The win puts New York City at 7-4.

Leavens had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from David Hood, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Blues a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Leavens.

"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Sean Morgan.
