Thunder Rally For Late Win Over Texans

Tampa Bay ruined an otherwise fine effort from Adam Walsh by toppling Dallas, 6-3. The Dallas pitcher threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Tampa Bay reliever Akihisa Shibuya was the winner. His record is now 4-5. Chris McCarty took the loss. Tampa Bay is now 41-47, while Dallas is 31-57.
The Thunder beat the Texans in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single John Gregg produced in the top of the ninth. Batting against Chris McCarty, Gregg gave his team the lead, 5-3, when he hit a 2-run single.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Gregg said.
