St. Louis and Atlanta duked it out and the Lions came out victorious.

St. Louis Lions starter Ricardo Santana was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Atlanta Pilots, 4-2. Santana picked up the win for St. Louis, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 12-6. Ryan Reutter recorded the save, making him 8 for 11.

Matt Weber had a big run-scoring double for the Lions in the bottom of the fifth inning. With St. Louis leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Jonathan Benders and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lions ahead, 4-2.

"It's not about individual awards," Weber told a St. Louis Citizen reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."

With the victory, the Lions upped their record to 44-43.
