The Toronto Titans managed to get by the Boston Shamrocks, 5-4, at Titans Fields. Toronto pitcher Matt Ryder set himself apart with his performance. The winner was Toronto reliever Conrad Foster, now 3-5. The loser was Chris Phillips. Toronto is now 35-47, while Boston is 45-37.

Toronto got a clutch hit from Nick Beckwith. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Beckwith told a Toronto Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
