The Washington Warriors defeated the Detroit Motors, 17-4, at The Motor Yard. Washington designated hitter Shane Wilder had a superb performance. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Detroit has now lost 5 in a row.

Washington used a well-timed hit by Omar Ford to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Warriors ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

Afterward, Detroit manager Sean Morgan said: "We've hit a rough patch."
