Shamrocks Deal Lions 8-4 Loss
The Boston Shamrocks powered past the St. Louis Lions, 8-4, at The Lions Hearth. Josh Olson provided some of the pop. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. The winner was Bobby Brown, who threw 113 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits. With the win, the Shamrocks improved to 23-28.

The Lions had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Shamrocks going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Andy Ingersoll came to the plate. Ingersoll hit a solo home run on a 1-2 fastball from St. Louis hurler Ricardo Santana. It was Ingersoll's 6th home run of the year.

"What we get, we earn," Ingersoll told the Boston Chronicle.
