The El Paso Diablos downed the Miami Sun Sox, 7-6, in 12 innings at Inferno Field. The Diablos were led by Dewey Duggan. Duggan belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. El Paso pitcher Steve Rossi got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Josh Mann got the loss. El Paso is sailing along at 54-24.

The Diablos got a clutch hit from left fielder Jonathan Thornton. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Diablos.

Thornton told a El Paso Citizen reporter that he felt "euphoric" after the win.
